Notes: Chloe was rescued from a shelter and is now waiting for a great home. She's about a year old but still has a lot of kitten activity in her. She's very affectionate and loves to play. She will sometimes give little nibbles, not at all hard - just playing, but it might be misunderstood by small children. So, we think she would do best in a home with children over about 5 or 6. Notes: Mikey was rescued from a car engine last winter, looking for a place to get warm. He's now healthy and happy, and looking for a forever home with his buddy Rocky. They are likely brothers, but we're not positive. Rocky was found the next day, also looking for a place to get warm.

Mikey loves to play 'fetch' with his pink ball. He has a slight head tilt, probably left over from a previous ear infection according to the neurologist who examined him, but it doesn't seem to slow him down. He doesn't like being picked up and carried very much, but he loves rolling around and having his tummy rubbed.

Rocky is much more tolerant of being carried around, and also likes to play and get tummy rubs. Rocky's favorite game is volleyball, and he's quite good! Mikey and Rocky need a very special, caring home together. We're not sure how they would be with other pets, but they need an adult-only home, and need to be indoor-only pets.

Moe and Schemp

Notes: Moe and Schemp were rescued from outside by their foster mom because she heard about some young teenagers that were abusing them. They were huddled together in the pouring rain the night she brought them in. They were very thin when first rescued, but have really filled out and are in excellent health, thanks to all the love and care they have received since being in foster care. Regardless of all the hard times they have had, they are the most lovable boys and are starving for attention and love and a permanent forever home. Moe (Black) If you are looking for a lap cat, this is the cat for you. Moe is shy at first, but once he gets to know you will cry for you to let him sit in your lap and be petted. He doesn't always like to be held, but wants to be near you. He's playful and good-natured, loves to play with mice, feathers, his best friend Schemp, and just about any toy you put in front of him, and loves belly rubs. He gets along fine with other cats and dogs. He needs to be adopted along with his best friend Schemp. Schemp (Tabby) Schemp is a friendly boy who loves attention and loves to play. He's a sweet talker and will charm you with his trills and meows. He doesn't mind being picked up and held. He gets along fine with other cats and with dogs, and likes to play with mice, feathers, his best friend Moe, or any other toy you put in front of him. He also loves to drink water from the faucet in the sink or bathtub. He loves his best friend Moe and they need to stay together. Notes: Scared and hiding in the shadows - that was this little guy a few months ago when someone dropped him off at an abandoned house to fend for himself. He was skinny, frightened and neglected. Notes: Spot is a pretty laid-back sort of guy - he likes to play and get back and tummy scratches. This really gets his purr-motor running! He came from a place where he was fed outside, and he'd get an occasional pat on the head, but what Spot really needs is to find a nice, caring quiet home to call his own. He's a very smart, sweet little guy, even knows how to sit and shake hands!

He's very special and needs a very special family to care for him. He went to the vet for his checkup and neutering, and then was going to be available for adoption. It was then we found out he has a heart murmur, so he had to go to a specialist and get an echocardiogram. He was put on medication (Atenolol, less than $2 a month) that he will probably need to take the rest of his life. He'll also need to have yearly checkups to keep track of his murmur.

He needs to find a home that doesn't have a lot of noise and activity, just a quiet place to relax and enjoy life. As with all cats adopted from PAL, he must be an indoor-only cat. Please send an email to PAL if you are interested in adopting or fostering Spot.
